“PENNY STOVE”: Construction and Testing

During my research on “The International Homeless Forum” (www.homelessforums.org) I was introduced to a stove often used by the homeless called a “Penny Stove”. I had previously heard of a “Hobo Stove” (using a #10 can), but never a Penny Stove. After doing some research on Google and YouTube, I have found that this is a project often used by ultralight backpackers. It is basically a DIY alcohol stove build out of 2 soda cans attached together.

In this video I show you my first attempt at constructing and testing a “Penny Stove” as part of my research for my “Learning form the Homeless” video series.
